Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
perfect candidate for a shortening project but NOT for $9K it is in good condition if the cab is solid underneath id put a $2500 value on it tops , it would make a good one though !

Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
The prices that people ask around here are ridiculous. Keeps the shippers in business. I saw this the other night - this is what people try to sell for $2500.

Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
If the mileage can be verified, it probably worth $6k in my mind. I just thought it looked cool.

Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
Around these parts we just have the vin checked to see if it was stolen and then all we have to do is write a little essay and they hand us the plates. A couple weeks later, the title comes in the mail.

I don't even want to know what getting a title requires in NJ. Everything is right next to impossible in this state.

Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
I bought a nice roller a couple of years ago with no title, just a bill of sale only. Through some stickers on the front windshield I was able to figure out the last place it was registered (South Carolina). It still had a clear title in someone's name that hadn't been registered for several years. I called the guy I bought it from and he said he bought it from a guy that bought it from a guy in South Carolina. The SC DMV would not give me the name of the last registered owner and here in KY every time I called the local clerk's office I would get a different answer. I finally just gave up and sold it for parts. I think titles must be harder to get (atleast where I live) than they used to be. Although, I think if you can get the right person at the DMV or clerk's office makes all the difference.

Re: Craigslist find-----not mine
Not having a title can be a big hassle.
That's a nice truck....would be nicer if it was a stepside (lwb). |
