back up lights?

Ok so I have a 78 c20 that I'm putting a floor shifter in and I would.like to.see if I can get the back up lights to work. Has anyone switched from to a floor shifter and have u got it wired up to work the back up lights. Also could ya tell me what and were I could find the wires. Thanks for all your help guys.

Something to consider: I did a floor shift conversion one time and wired the backup lamps to a toggle switch. That way I could hook up my trailer at night using the backup lamps for illumination.

Leave your linkages and all on the column. My friend went 4spd and left it all in now he can drop the auto shifter in R and they come on while drivin. Convient.

What shifter are you using? You can find the reverse light wires/switch on the lower end of the steering column. I am assuming you have an automatic

get power to the light green wire on top of colume under dash
he must have removed the rod to the tranny?
what about the NSS?
