Paint Jail
Had a nice visit and dropped off my new and very nice press on door weather stripping (from GMCPauls)
with Painter Lee this morning. Lee's a "class act". He had pics on his camera that he sent me and I posted here: http://tinyurl.com/kwzz76b I'm excited every time I see the new stuff done. One "extra" he is doing is a steel panel welded under the cowl louvers. All my air comes in the thru the VA system. And I had it blocked off in a Mickey Mouse way. Now, it'll be done correctly.

Re: Paint Jail
Truck is looking good! What color will it be? Did your painter give you any idea on time?

Our written contract is for the return to me on or before September 26th. He said he'd take $1,000 off the price if he was even one day late. I didn't write that into the contract. If I have him do anything "extra", or he runs into a giant chunk of bondo, he documents it via pictures or I go see it, I pay him an hourly rate "extra" ($40) ....that was only fair, since I didn't take it down all the way before I sprayed it with Tractor Supply Matte Black. So far, two extras. One of which was my request in his sealing off the area under the cowl with metal (4 hrs). And Lee found a fold in the metal in the lower pass-rear of the cab where, I guess, the original bed smacked the cab at one time or another (4 hrs.).

Re: Paint Jail
These trucks look great in silver. Your truck is gonna look awesome! Can't wait to see it. I bet you already photoshopped it.
