Factory Tach instrument clusters.
I have 2 instrument clusters. One has the fuel gauge in the tach.
1) Is a tachometer cluster from a big truck. The benefit of this housing is it has the mounting posts for a clock if you decide to install one. This is the one that has the fuel gauge in the tachometer housing. As I live in Phoenix where it is extremely hot when I removed this cluster the white part of the housing crumbled. Since these have the Fuel gauge in the tachometer the housings are specific to these vehicles so finding a replacement was not an option. What I did was get a non tachometer cluster and cut/removed the areas that interfered with the tachometer installation. This was very time consuming and done VERY cleanly. If I had not mentioned it you probably wouldn't even notice. All speedometer cluster housings for our trucks have the mounting posts for a tachometer. The areas where the extra plastic was removed where carefully sanded smooth and then the whole housing was painted white so the light reflects better. It was carefully reassembled. Printed circuit board is EXCELLENT with no problems. Complete uncut wiring harness is included. Price is $200 2) SOLD Is a tachometer cluster removed from a 1983 Chevy truck. This was removed from the same truck the floor shift column I have listed seperately. Cluster is actually very nice and needles have been repainted. Circuit board is EXCELLENT. At one point this was removed without tools and some of the tabs were broken. It still mounts solid with original screws if a washer is used. While this is strictly cosmetic this is being listed cheaper than these usually sell for. $250 shipping not included.

Re: Factory Tach instrument clusters.
The cluster is the same, you just have to swap the shift quadrant onto the new cluster. It is held on with 2 screws.

Re: Factory Tach instrument clusters.
I would like a chance at either of them. I have an 87 v10, 383 stroker and sm465 tranny. 308 gears. Tuneing without a tach has been a nightmare.
