What do you guys think of this truck?
Been looking for a 81-87 k10 short bed for a bit locally and haven't seen much that isn't destroyed or $7k. My budget is around $3k. I talked to this guy and the big downside is the engine and interior is pulled. I think I could talk him down a little but not too much. Just getting tired of sitting on craigslist all day. Would rather be working on a truck all day. What do you guys think?

Re: What do you guys think of this truck?
It looks like a really solid truck, but what about rust?
Rust tends to like to hide, but overall it looks to be solid if he's trying to get rid of it by the 30th, I would say offer him 2250, don't go over 2500

Looks way nicer than the one I picked up for 2200.

Re: What do you guys think of this truck?
I think the days of picking up a nice rust free truck for 2000 are coming close to a end. These trucks spiked just before 08 only to fall back off like the rest of everything. The prices are coming back up slowly. I'd go with 2500 and start at 2200. The ad says the body was sanded, how far did they get?

I think that it is odd that the truck must be gone by the 30th, but he is willing to take a blazer or other vehicle on trade?

Re: What do you guys think of this truck?
Looks like a straight truck. Seems like your paying more for the engine and labor put into it. What does he mean by c10 or k10. It's either or. Unless he's in the process of converting it to a 4x4.

Re: What do you guys think of this truck?
From the pics it looks like very solid truck. I have seen worse advertised for more $$, up my way.
As long as the frame is not full of cracks, and the cab floor is not rotted out it seems like a decent deal. -Sam
