Is Factory Jack Repairable?

I just tried to use my factory jack for the first time in my 11 years of ownership and it does not work. It was fully extended and I was able to work the crank and tap it down to fully closed. I used a lot of PB Blaster but it is still jammed.
I assume that these are mechanical (geared) not hydraulic jacks - correct? If I can't fix this one or find another OEM jack that works, I think I will just put a regular bottle jack in its place.
