Pretty much. No rain or gravel or puddles. Your truck to low for fender wells?

Well the fronts bagged right now and it sits on the inner fender wells when i air out, and when I drive at around 55-60psi, there is about 1" of clearance between tire and fender well, I have a 28" tall tire. Its not something im too worried about just yet, but it is on the list of to do things.

Im just worried about water soaking my engine, Im not worried about my ignition system, maybe a couple of electrical things here and there to spruce up, but my issue is I live in Northern ohio so we get every climate possible through out the year, I don't drive in snow, so not worried about that but sometimes down pours come out of nowhere and I don't need my carb sucking in plenty of rain water being splashed up by my wheels.

Re: driving without an inner fender well

I understand the climate situation. Southern indiana and we get it all too. My 79 k10 (although lifted) i drove without inner fenders in rain snow and mud. It was all fine except when i hit a puddle that was a lot deeper than i thought it was. It is a PITA to keep clean.

Re: driving without an inner fender well

I drive mine daily without inner fenders, rain, puddles, gravel, etc. No issues here. The engine compartment in my suburban is a little dirty, but not too bad at all. I want to get some inners for it eventually, but I've had no issues not running them.

Re: driving without an inner fender well

Biggest thing I see an issue with is the fuse box junction with all the wires getting to wet and possibly the air box

Re: driving without an inner fender well

How does the bottom of the hood hold up, seems like it would be peppered by all the little stones and gravel on the streets
