3/4 ton gear ratio

Does any know if 3.73:1 gear ratio was available in 1967 3/4 ton rear ends? Or if they are available in after market products? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure 4.10 is the highest gear in Eaton rearends.

Re: 3/4 ton gear ratio

The Eaton HO52(5200) is going to be 4.57 or the optional 4.10. In 68 they offered a Dana 60 in 3.54 (big block trucks) that continued with the later trucks. If you are running an Eaton 4.10 is really as good as it gets. Bigger tires, an O/D or O/D transmission and a factory Dana 60 swap would all be good alternates. If you don't mind fab work a 14 bolt could also be used.

Re: 3/4 ton gear ratio

As mentioned,no 3.73s were available. To get 3.73s you either need a 14-bolt or a Ford Dana60. BBC automatics came with 3.54s in a Dana60

Re: 3/4 ton gear ratio

Dana 60 axles were offered as optional equipment with leaf or coil springs on some 68-72 CK10-CK25 trucks, mostly with HD springs or big block manual applications. If you want the BOM numbers, download Dana Spicer's X510-8 that can be downloaded here.
