Overspray problem needing solution

My C10 has side marker lights with the two lights and the black base to them, I was told these were the "deluxe" lights. The problem I have is throughout the years no one has ever cleaned off the overspray on these or the tail lights or any of chrome moldings.

What is the easiest way to remove this problem without damaging the items? Any help would be appreciated. I was afraid that if I just took paint thinner, it may harm the lights or other pieces.

Depends on how hard you rub. Try some rubbing compound first though. Everybody has different ways but I would try the compound first.

If the side markers are that old, the plastic is probably showing age and you may be better off just getting replacements. They aren't very expensive, and it'll freshen up the look. As for moulding, that's another story. It's expensive to replace. Where it is metal, it'll probably clean up better then the plastic side markers. Try some Goof Off

I have always had good luck with DuPont #7 rubbing compound and a shop rag with some elbow. That will should get it off the plastic without damage.
