Shocks recommendations
Picked up a 71 last week and over the weekend I discovered that the rear shocks had been cut off at the top. Why someone would do this I have no idea, but they did.
I looked at the front shocks and at least they are attached but they all look like they havent been replaces since 1971. I was planning on holding off to replace the shocks until I purchase my drop kit (drop spindles, lowered springs, and a flip kit), but now Im thinking its pretty unsafe to drive my truck in this condition. If I go ahead and replace the shocks which shocks do you guys prefer?

Re: Shocks recommendations
I used Monroe Sensa-Tracs. Rockauto has em cheap and check Monroe's website for a rebate. I used the stock front size on the rear with a flip instead of drop shocks. The stock size will also work on the front with spindles and a 1" drop spring (and maybe a 2" drop spring) Decent ride and price. BTW those old shocks probably sheared at the top and weren't cut, I had some cheap shocks that just snapped at the lower joint.
