4 wheel to 2 wheel?

Bought a 86 short bed 4x4 donor to use in my 68 burb. I am going to pull all the drivetrain and swap in my 68. When I bought this truck I wasn't paying much attention to the body. Now that I have it home other than a rocker and an inner fenderwell this swb fleet is very straight and no real rust. It also has a good interior, other than a funky painted dash and bad dash pad, and has all the options, tilt cruise, P/W,P/D A/C etc.

I don't have the energy or the time to part it out and i could use a 2 wheel pick up to haul stuff around. I have a 78 Long wheel base with no motor or trans I used for the perfect sheet metal on my 78 2 wheel drive blazer.

Can I use the front suspension including cross member and the rear leaf shackles etc and swap on the 4X4 frame. I think the 2 wheel and 4 wheel cabs have different floors but don't care about that.

i did a search but only came up with 2 wheel to 4 wheel.

Thanks,
Steve
