67 CST Questions for some experts

I need some experts to chime in on this truck I picked up. Here's what I know...supposedly!
Its a 1967 CST Large window Buddy bucket with a V6,power-loc rear, No PB or A/C.
I bought it from the original owner. front end, inside and everything seems to have never been removed but the truck has been painted.
The gaps are great and everything closes and lines up real well.
Pics of the SPID are not available, for some reason there is a sticker in its place (pic below).
I have the protecto-plate, owners manual and other documents that I will attach pics of it below too.
SOOO, here is the questions.
1. Is it original?
2. Why is the SPID not present?
3. Is this carbon paper the build sheet?
4. Did these trucks ever come with 17.5X8 rims and tires.?(that is the tire size)

I appreciate any assistance.
Mike

Re: 67 CST Questions for some experts

It's rare to find a '67 GMC with a SPID. Why? I have no idea, just seems to be the case. I can't see that paper you're asking about very well. It looks like the dealer sale invoice. There was a 17.5 wheel/tire option on 3/4t & 1t. These are wider than stock? The factory wheels were 5.5"-6" I believe.

I should have said tire size is 17.5X8!
Sorry, wheels are skinner than the tires.
Thanks for chiming in. Feel free to pick it apart, I'm learning here.

That's a beautiful truck Cash! Love the pre-SPID documentation. Nice options; PowerLoc and heavy duty valves listed on the option sheet too.

How about pics of the V-6?

Ill load some tomorrow.
Cant bring myself to part this thing! Ill catch hell from the purists but I want the seat and someone can use all this stuff. This is not a parts thread so I hope no one starts asking for parts. I'm trying to learn from the experts that know these trucks.
It will assist in someone that needs these parts later to see the history and the documentation is definitely a plus.
Thank you for the compliments on the truck. Maybe I should sell the 71 and keep this and the GMC? Time will tell.

This thread may help. It's one of my new favorite toys. He must have worked his tailgate off putting all this together.

Randywa, Just saw this post of yours and wanted to thank you for the plug. Bruceman1968 really did work his tailgate off along with maybe a couple of other parts as well. As assistant and Devil's advocate it was a long road to completion. :-)

Cool truck. Is 67 the only year GMC used those fenders with the side vents?

I seem to find a lot of trucks lately... maybe its because I'm retired and have nothing to do! I need to look for a job like I do trucks and Id find a great job!
Brought another one home yesterday...its a 69 Chevy.
BTW:
I really do appreciate all the work you guys (all mentioned in this thread) have put into (countless) thing I find on here. The reference threads I have are going to have to go on a word document soon.

Tim... If you have a set as nice as these Ill gladly sell this truck or you can simply meet me and we can roll it across to your trailer and ill keep this seat! LOL
Thanks again all for everything. Im doing a big parts thread this weekend, please help me thin things out.

Re: 67 CST Questions for some experts

Very tempting. My seat may not be quite as nice, but I'm using it in my '67 GMC project as is till a later date.

Ha, I have been to Kansas twice, both times with a trailer, once to pick up my 64 GMC and another for custom built cabinets, both times was straight out ( it's only 18 to 22 hrs depending ) picked up and turn around and drove straight back.

Heading to Indy in Sept for my Great Nephew 1st birthday.
