Post your Trailer Hitch pics here please
Looking for some ideas for a clean and somewhat hidden trailer hitch for my '65.I have an idea at this time that uses a piece of 1"x 2" heavy wall channel but would like to see if there is something out there that may work better for me.
I wont be hauling over 4000 lbs so a system based around this capacity. Please post your pics here. I found this one here on this site, thanks in advance for all your input on this !

I used this,http://www.airbagit.com/Hidden-Trail...hit-gm6072.htm
They will make it just about like you want it, just give them specs. Aso they will make you a specific receiver also if you need. Hope this helps.

Nice picture!! That's my truck.
I currently have the bed off and have cut the bottom edge of the outside cross member to provide better access to the hitch. I'll post some better pictures this weekend when I get home. |

Probably not quite what you want, but here is mine.
Towball can be removed, and plug is under body, out of shight.

Re: Post your Trailer Hitch pics here please
This my hitch with the bed removed. I used a longer hitch, cut down the width and the mounting flanges, inserted some 0.25 wall square tube, centered & rewelded. The second unmounted hitch fits a newer Tahoe. Lots of SUV's have wide hitches that can be cut down.
I also modified the bed so that a draw bar can be inserted w/o a problem. You need to modify both the outside valance and the first cross member. The all in one kit looks like great option also but I have only $30 in mine. |
