2 piece driveshaft - slip joint seal replaceable?

86' Dually C30, TH400, 454, 2 piece driveshaft with center bearing.

Replaced the 2 u-joints on the rear driveshaft section after first unbolting it from the diff, then pulling it loose from the center slip joint. The seal in the center slip joint tore out.

I greased up the splines real well when I put it back together but would like to replace that seal as the slip joint opening faces forward to catch dirt/debris.

Is this seal replaceable? Where would I get one?

Re: 2 piece driveshaft - slip joint seal replaceable?

I replaced the one in my 79 but I was able to find a NOS one on eBay. I tried AZ, Advance, and NAPA with no luck, but I was told to try the local drive shaft shop, so that is what I would recommend. You could also try your local GM dealer, I think they used the same seal for a few years.

Did you ever find a source of this seal. The illustration in the service manual also shows a washer that didn't exist in mine, so I need that also.
Thanks for any info you have, Les
