Billet grille installation help

I have an 85 c10 with dual headlights. I bought a billet grille and chrome headlight bezels at a car show this weekend...they didn't come with instructions. The grille and bezels are pretty easy to install, but I am just a little confused with how the park lights mount behind the grille. It has a L shaped tab and a flat bar for it to sit on I assume and it looks like the L shaped tab should clip over the top. The bar has a place that looks like a screw should go into the bottom of the light. The problem is, the tabs on the light look like they need to come off for it to fit flush with the grille. Is this correct or am I supposed to buy different lights? I figure someone has the instructions or has done this and remembers. Thanks in advance!
