My 67 or 72, SWB convert build?
The thread title is because the truck has a 72 cab with 67 front and rear sheet metal. It also has a shorten frame. I thought the frame was a 67 but now I think is a 72 because and the core support mounts on the frame. I'm hoping some one can tell me how to figure out what frame it have.
I'm not planning a show truck. I've built show quality vehicles in the past but this one just gonna be a solid driver. |

Some of the rust issues - these should be pretty simple fixes

Looks great so far. Core support is nice. On the front side of the frame will be some markings (right by the power steering pump). There is a partial VIN number. This will tell you what year and model the frame is for. Good luck!

Got some new shoes. A little shorter and wider. Not sure about the red but I can always change it later.

Neither, they where on the truck when I bought it. I assume they came from airbagit.com since that's where the bags came from.

Re: My 67 or 72, SWB convert build?
Today I installed the core support, new lights, Rear lowering blocks and front drop spindles, it was a lot of work but really worth it. With the bags, the front crossmember is 4 inches off the ground.

Re: My 67 or 72, SWB convert build?
Well, I pulled the bed off and started some patch work on the right front fender today. I bought a patch piece but it was a little short so I had to extend it a 1/2 inch.
