Classic Truck Parts of America
Hi all,
What is the concensus on part quality from Classic Truck Parts of America? I am especially interested in their "dessert" radiators, electric fans, kick panel speaker assemblies, dash guage cluster (original style), original style steering wheel and horn buttons. Their "Secret Audio" on page 86 of the current catalog seems interesting also. Thanks! |

Re: Classic Truck Parts of America
I buy a lot of parts form there. Their customer service seems decent, and if its in stock they ship quick.
You can probably do better on the radiator from a place like NAPA. Just get a factory style 4-core. Electric fans you can probably do better through Jegs or Summitt. I got a set of dual DeRale fans from Jegs. They fit the factory style radiator with just some minor trimming of plastic and they work great. Stuck in traffic in 95 degree weather with the AC on my truck runs around 200 degrees. Steering wheels are going to be repops, and quality will vary. I've had good luck with the stuff they sell, though I haven't bought a steering wheel. Can't speak for the audio stuff, but I know some of the kick panels get in the way of the parking brake.

Re: Classic Truck Parts of America
Thanks man.....I am actually printing the page out!
I will give NAPA a call.....Advance Auto quoted me $400.00 on a new radiator because it's something they no longer sell except from a performance manufacturer. I did check twice. |

I get most of my parts from them. The quality seems as good or better then the rest & the price is sometimes better. My partner used the kick panel speakers on & likes them.

I have placed several orders with them. Their prices & shipping rates are better than LMC. They sell the same repo. parts as other suppliers.

I agree with those above, their parts are pretty much all the same as LMC (counterpart) is a big repro company they both use. Customer service is great, never had an issue with them.

I bought mine from AutoZone, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was cheap, but the first one failed in a few weeks. Warranty replacement is holding up ok.

I try to buy as many parts from them as possible, their customer service is great and these days that's what it is all about.

I've had good luck with them. My buddy practically built his whole truck below with their parts.

Re: Classic Truck Parts of America
I have had great service from them...shipping and most part prices beat LMC. The only issue I have had is when ordering online I have had a couple problems where the site says in stock, I place an order, then get notice of back order..other than that, happy customer..
