Reusing suspension bolts

Guys

Im planning a major suspension rebuild and i wanted to know if its ok to reuse

-the upper control arm bolts that bolt the a arms to the frame... the ones with the teeth in them to keep from rotating..

-the lower control arm u bolts.

-any other hard to find/expensive bolt

Mine appear to be fine.

Ive heard 2 schools of thoughts:
1)the old bolts were much better quality, so reuse what you can
2)the old bolts are 40 years old so replace what you can

thoughts?

thanks guys

Re: Reusing suspension bolts

I'm rebuilding my front end right now. The upper c/a bolts and lower control arm u bolts I am reusing. top bolts and u bolts I checked no streching or marks on them so I am reusing them. others will say replace the lower u bolts but mine are the larger size used on disc brake systems. I feel confident mine will hold, but on yours its up to you.
