Question '72 Custom/Deluxe upholstery

I'm looking for a reproduction seat cover for my '72 Suburban with Custom/Deluxe cloth upholstery. The only place I have seen one is Impala Bob's, but it was in an old catalog and their website no longer lists it. I haven't called them yet to double check, but does anyone know of another source?

Hi ,
You can get a catalog from either:
The Truck Shop (Cheap Prices, Excellent Quality)
We bought a replacement seat cover from them for our 72' GMC Sub, and it looks sweet!
http://www.truckandcarshop.com

(a bit more expensive, but cheap when you can catch their sales)
Brother's at:
htt://www.brotherstrucks.com

Good Luck...

make sure you get the cover specifically for a suburban. the truck seat covers don't cover the back of the seat. Jim Carter lists them in their catalog. http://www.oldchevytrucks.biz/p/1967...ession=1021033

Thanks for the suggestions, but what I'm looking for is the cloth & vinyl Custom/Deluxe upholstery (not the houndstooth pattern). This is the type that has what looks like a small flower pattern in the cloth. The 2nd and 3rd seats in my Suburban are near mint, so I only want to replace the upholstery on the front seat.

Anybody have this kind of upholstery in their truck? Is there a replacement/reproduction source?

I have been looking for the black inserts for some time now. If you find something please let me know.

There is a burb that shows up at Pigeon Forge that had new closth inserts sewn into his seats. I asked him where he got it and he said his upholstery guy bought the last 5 yards of it.

This is what I am looking for; What color are you looking for?

Yep, that's the same pattern that I'm looking for. My interior is green, so maybe there's still some fabric out there? Thanks for the picture--that might help in my search!

Hughnews1--is this the same type of upholstery as in your rig? Does design cover have a website or just e-mail?

Anybody else have a suggestion?

Have you tried your local upholstery person? They have lots of sources.

I might be able to help you out if you don't find it new. I just got a truck from Crew70. It is Ochre and white but it has the deluxe green interior. It was from the factory that way. The worst color combo I have seen ever!

anyway, I have been thinking of pulling the panels out, dying them black and sewing them into my seat covers on my burb.

What I will do is take some pictures of it so you can see it's condition and we will see what happens afterwards.

Hey guys, I think I finally found a source! It is at CARS Inc., and I talked to them today. They were able to confirm that it is the correct pattern and that they have NOS fabric in stock (at least in my color--green). Check them out at www.carsinc.com. You will find the Custom/Deluxe fabric under the '71-'72 pickup section, not the Blazer/Suburban section. Yee-haw!

I believe CARS Inc. had previously merged with Ciadella interiors (a well-respected interior company), so the quality should be great.
