Cat Back for a 96 4.3 Reg Cab 8' BOx ?
i have always used magnaflow but I see they no longer list a system for this truck.... stupid in my opinion how many thousand are still on road...
anyways anyone know of a system out of the box for my truck 96 4.3 reg cab long box.? also checked flowmaster and they don't seem to list one either.. |

I did some research and learned that you can use the exhaust pipes for a 5.7. They'll bolt up to the 4.3 manifolds. But, you have to add another (4th) O2 sensor and another catalytic convertor. Then, you can use whatever systems are available for the 5.7 engine. Yep, duals.

Really it's cheaper to build yourself. I think that's why they don't sell the bolt on stuff anymore. For less than 200 bux you should be able to get what you need. Just depends on what you are looking for.
In my case I built a custom Y pipe to attach to the mid length headers I have for about 75 bux then I have a section of straight pipe 3 inch diameter from there about 25 bux then a magnaflow muffler for 76 bux, and it all exits in front of the passenger side rear tire.
