Sending unit issue with LMC

My recently acquired 1968 C 10 has a bad sending unit . This truck has the single barrel carburetor because it only has a 6 cylinder engine . Well for some reason LMC only lists these for two and four barrel carburetors . My mechanic seems to think that the one for the two barrel work just as well . Is this accurate?

Witch sending unit are we talking about? The fuel level? Yes the one for the two barrel will work in its stead. Congrats on the new find. Jim

There should have been the word "fuel" in front of that! LMC is clueless as to this issue. They should note this in their catalog.
