Bed liner/mat

I'm trying to locate a heavy good quality bed matt for a 71 cheyenne swb. I tried to search the forum however it didn't work. I can not seem to locate a bed matt. Has anybody bought one and if so where can I buy one?

Re: Bed liner/mat

They are no longer available. You'll have to by one for long bed and cut it to fit. I got mine from Summit for a 76 long bed. The only real issue is that the wheel houses for the next gen pickup is about 4" longer so you will have that gap or you can split the difference and trim both the front and rear to have a 2" gap on the front and rear of the wheel house. That's what I did. It is very heavy duty and works well, better than none at all. About $90 bucks to my door.

Re: Bed liner/mat

I did what LeeH did except I cut it so I can overlay the extra piece over the gap at the wheel well. Also can slide the extra piece over the tail gate keeps it from scratching.

Tell us more about this mat. Does it have the wheelhouse cutouts? How does it fit?

I'm thinking of putting one in my Suburban but I'd like to do the trimming.

I just pulled the trigger on this one. They had the ONLY listing specifically for 67-72 trucks (LWB, no SWB option). For all I know it could be the same as the 73-up mat but if you read the reviews two guys with LWB 67-72 trucks say it fits great and rate it 5 out of 5. I am curious how it fits around the wheel wells...since trimming the excess to center it front to back on a SWB bed is no problem.

Try this ...

http://www.ncnwest.com/rbr/trkc.htm

The 73-87 will be a very close fit.

Also JC Whitney for 1970

Re: Bed liner/mat

Why not putting a clear 3M pellicule.....Less chance to get humidity infiltrate under and invisible. Protect again scrach to. Just rip it off when it get to scrachy and put a new one.
