header choice

Hey guys Im looking to get new headers for my lowered 82' short box, the current long tubes hit on the bottom flange sometimes. Im wanting to go with mid length or shorties. Hedman, Patriot, sanderson or what have some of the members been using with there lowered trucks?

Re: header choice

I've seen some use Hedman, Hooker, Doug Thorley, and that's what I've seen most run.

Re: header choice

I have the same situation as you with the long tube headers and a lowered truck. I've read a few members running Sanderson headers that keep the bottom flange tucked above the bottom of the frame rail, but have never seen any pics. I'm running a big-block and I'm considering the Sanderson BB8's for my truck. Maybe somebody here can share a little more detail...?

Re: header choice

If you drive fast enough over bumps they clearance out haha.
Doug thorleys although expensive do tuck up nice. From what I've seen.

Re: header choice

Chevelle headers!! I run them on my ZZ4 truck. Only issue is the passenger side one comes close to the starter. No problems with road bumps!!

Re: header choice

Thanks for the reply guys, I've been told the chevelle headers work nice before, ill look into those. I'm thinking sanderson or thorleys now, i talked to Kooks but they don't make any for a SB 350.
