i am going to attempt removing the front clip off my 59 this weekend. i have used the search but did not find much on the best way to do this. anbody have any advice on this? how many bolts-where they are located? any help would be appreciated. i seem to always do things the hard way.

If you purchase the factory ass. Manual it will be $40 well spent and tell you where all fasteners are.

I've never done a task force truck but I'd suggest removing the bumper first then the hood and then after pulling the radiator start taking the bolts that hold it to the frame and cab out.
Hopefully someone will fill you in on where the hidden bolts are.

I've found that on any of my trucks it's easier to get the nose off if I pull the front tires first and get them out of the way.

will find manual before i start .like the build thread. i have lots of pictures as soon as i figure out how to move pictures from photobucket. thanks for the help.

There are eight bolts, four on each side.

You do not need to remove the hood, just raise it. Disconnect the head light and signal light wires and upper/lower radiator hoses. THEN, follow this thread you needed to find:

Ha ha, man if you're only gonna type three letters can they be "Dan" instead of "dip"?! That's short for dipsh1t and even though I'm sure plenty of people think I am one I dont want to remind them! Lol.

It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
