seats for blazer

These are the seats I am putting in my 1970 blazer - (Bought custom seat covers from Frank's Pick M Ups here in Olympia WA!) My blazer should be back from the paint shop next Monday! I have lots of work to put it all together after paint, but I am excited about that!

NICE JOB

Thanks, Ken. Your seats look great! Did you put the covers on yourself? How much work was it? We can't wait to see the Blazer when it is painted. I always like a man with "good taste". He has a Blazer, too.

I tryed to do them myself, but found out that the foam needed "fixed up" and I wasn't to sure how well they would look if I attempted it! I paid "classic upholstery" in lacey to do it. He charged me 125.00 a piece. I have more money in these seats then I care to mention, but the blazer should be back from the painter Monday the 14th and I can start putting it together- Thanks for all the parts!

Ken

by the way is your email still attbi.com or did it change to comcast.net- just fyi

Paint

Bouncytruck
We are thinking of painting it the stock blue which says 4508AA Dark blue in the glovebox options sticker. And we are debating a pearl white flame job on it ....opinions on the flames??

Do the flames in a ghost style...one or two shades lighter....maybe with some pearl tossed in for effect.

I'm not too big on flames on a 4x4. There is a Blazer for sale in Washington with flames on it. The truck looks nice but it has been for sale for some time. I think it might be the paint holding it back. .

Here is a photo of a Blazer I have in my archives. I really like the paint on this one. I think it is a lighter blue than what you are talking about though.

We decieded against the flames - my wife really didn't want them. I picked up my paint today...Dark Blue Poly 4508AA (508 70's truck code) It is going to look a little bit metallic I guess - I didn't know that until now. I think it will look great. The guy I bought this blazer from about 6 months ago is flying in from Hawaii and wants to come take a look at it. I think he might cry when he sees it all redone I hope to have it back from the body guy by the time he gets here. How long does it take to get the whole thing put back together after paint?? Trim, carpets seats ect.

1970Blazin - I didn't know that you had that Blazer. This is the one that was for sale in Portland and the guy lives in Hawaii. I told him to advertise the rig for sale on the board. It looked like a very nice K5. I'm glad someone who will respect it bought it. I can't wait to see it done!

Yeah that is the same guy - we talked on the phone and I met his daughter in beaverton to pay her and pick up the blazer- It had been in this guys family since his dad ordered it from the factory new in 1970. This guy is coming to look at it next week sometime and I am hoping I will be done putting it together- all depends on when paint is done (supposedly Mon. 14th)
