No break light one driver side...

I tried to search with not much luck so I will just ask. I have no break light on the driver side. I do have parking lights and turn signal which is what is throwing me. If the turn signal is working I would think the break light would also work since they use the same wire. What do I need to check?

Re: No break light one driver side...

Sounds to me like a signal switch in the steering column.

Re: No break light one driver side...

A friend of mine had the same problem. He call me and ask me if I had good used housing. So go over to his house and install the used housing and still no brake light.I ask him if he put a new bulb in, yes he did.So I check power to the housing socket, getting power. So took the light bulb out of passger side and it work.A bad new bulb.He brought a couple of pack of bulb from Advance Auto to change bulbs,he just brought the truck and was getting all the lights to work. The bulb look good, just bad bulb.Keep on trucki''
