1951 Pickup Bumpers
Hi Guys can anybody tell me if there's any difference between the front and rear bumpers to fit a 51 ....

everything I find says that the front bumpers are the same on '48 to 54.
The rear bumpers are the same from 48 - 53 with the 54 having a "step" in the middle. The front and rear have different contours so are not inter changeable. |

Here are a front and rear bumper together with their respective brackets.
![]() The one with more curve and the brackets closer together is the front bumper. Decent reproduction bumpers aren't too expensive but shipping would probably be more than the bumper.

That's always an issue for folks in your area. Shipping far out costs the price of the part.

So leave the back bumper off and use a rolled pan. Problem solved. Or is there some law against that " down under" ?
