am i going crazy?

My c10 had a brake issues where it seemed like eather the master cylinder was bad or there was so much air in the system. I have been trying to find a slow leak in my lines for months but have not been able to find it. And when I moved my truck today, my pedal came back.. I'm going to try and find the leak but I'm boggled kinda and this was a new master. Whatbcould have happened?

Re: am i going crazy?

Once I put a new master on my 70. I bench bled it and everything, but I had no pedal. Tried all day to blead it and got nowhere. The next day, it had a good solid pedal, and has worked ever since. So I figure either there was a bubble in there that just needed to work its way out, or the gremlins are getting lazy.

Have you changed or rebuilt the wheel cylinders. You can draw air into the system if they don't seal well.

Re: am i going crazy?

Calipers and wheel cylinders were replaced beforehand. And I tried seeing if they leaked out there but they were bone dry, and I had this happen off and on. I'm going to try and rebleed everything again when I get home. But I've driven it when it happened before and all the fluid was gone, so I added more and tried to find a leak but nothing and it acted as if nothing happened, but that fluid has to be going somewhere and I even checked the inside of the cap to see I'd it leaked in but nuttin but dry

Did you look on the inside of the firewall by the steering column. And under the carpet.
M/C will leak out the back.

Re: am i going crazy?

Yeah I did, I was suprised not to see any of the fluid. I do know when my brakes went out last time my dad was following me and he said he saw something like a brake fluid trail come from the back part of my truck. But I keep trying to find where it came out and it seems like there isn't a blown out line. It was a Lil wet going into a union near the front half of the truck. I'm going to try and check now that I have a pedal again to see if the leak is coming from there.
