"loving thy neighbor" is kinda hard for me now>:(
So last night is when i saw this, took pics this morning. But the stupid idiot neighbor in front just happened to back up or pulled into my drivers door, and guess what they left? NOTHING. No insurance no number not even a note saying sorry.! So i made a report and they came and snapped pictures and the sucky thing is is that they are hardly home. So i cant confront them but when i saw this my heart dropped! On the upside i saw a Skyline GTR R35 today

A new door and you're back in action, good luck on finding a door that matches your paint color.

Lets not do anything illegal..... Id confront them and see if theres any of your paint on their car then get the law involved

Re: "loving thy neighbor" is kinda hard for me now>:(
I don't park in the street unless I have to for a short while. I know my neighbors across the street just back out quickly without looking. Their kids are worse. My next door neighbor has 6!! Yes 6 vehicles!! Two off them are parked on either side of my driveway exit. I know one day when I'm not careful, I'm going to hit one. I do have a 6" hitch insert sticking out. It will be a nasty hit.
Hope you get it worked out. |

Problem is, unless someone saw them you have no proof it was them.

When you see any of their vehicles at home, see if any of them are tall enough to make that hit and if there's any paint transfer. If so, take lots of pictures and measurements. That should be all the proof you need. That might be enough to take legal action.

Tell the neighbor if they don't fess up, you'll report it as at hit and run so the police can investigate. That should scare them enough to point a finger on a visitor or themselves. A hit and run charge has a big penalty.

Perhaps then they'll confess without you having to be confrontational. But - the good news is it is isolated to just the door. Fix, or replace the door and you'll be back where you started. K

Re: "loving thy neighbor" is kinda hard for me now>:(
Honestly, that sucks about your door, and there is NO reason for anyone to do a hit and run, but I wouldn't park right behind someone's driveway like that. Even if it IS their fault they hit you, and even if they do fess up and pay for it, you still have to go through all the hassle of getting it fixed.
Sounds like crap neighbors. Society sucks now. You gotta do your part to avoid getting crapped on by crap neighbors, and the first thing I'd do is not park in a spot where you know people are backing out all the time. Hope you catch them, and hope they have insurance. Do you have your truck insured, or at least have uninsured motorist coverage? |

Re: "loving thy neighbor" is kinda hard for me now>:(
Man bad neighbors are the worst! Mine stuffed a potato In my tail pipe one time. Aperantly they didn't like how loud my truck was back then. So I decided to pull my exhaust off, due to it being "ruined. " ran it for about 2 hrs a day right at 11 pm. He came over and admitted he did it then apologized. I hope u don't have to get nasty but sometimes ppl need to be tought that they can't f$&k with there neighbors.

Re: "loving thy neighbor" is kinda hard for me now>:(
I had a neighbor ask if my son would not parking in front of his drive way, but off to the side because it was making it a little hard for him to back up and I understood that.
I hope they own up on your truck because they have no idea how hard it is to find good OEM doors and are probably thinking it a junk pile. |
