Valve Cover Emissions Decal

I've read several posts about folks talking about their valve cover emissions "stamped steel" decal but have not found anybody reproducing them.

Does anybody have any information on these?

I tried to save mine when I repainted the engine but it did not make it.

I've used a local guy before for custom window decals but I don't know if he could make anything that would withstand the heat of being under the hood. I've worked up a design that is really close minus anything GM on it.

Thanks.

Interested in this too. I know there's also been requests for the "350" decal for the 70/71's which hasn't been reproduced either

Re: Valve Cover Emissions Decal

Here is a rough draft. GM references are on it for now so I could get the overall spacing correct.

Re: Valve Cover Emissions Decal

Found this for a 454. Surprised they don't make more for other sizes.

Ya no kidding, I wonder why they chose to only make that specific one?

Re: Valve Cover Emissions Decal

They got back to me. Said he could find no record of any others ever being offered except the 454. Oh well. May put an INVADER 350 decal on it now. I've heard of some early 72's having the sticker and I like the look.

He's wrong. These decals were also offered on 402's.

You misinterpreted. I meant he has no record of his company ever offering any other stickers but the 454.

Interested also. There always seem to be a lack in coverage when it comes to trucks. Who are the repop people on this site? Anybody out there reading this thread directly responsible for what gets repopped?

I'm also on the hunt for the aluminum foil emissions decal.

Re: Valve Cover Emissions Decal

I let the guy at Classic Industries know that there are several of us on here that would be interested in them for different engine sizes.

The displacement should be stamped in. I have number and letter stamps that would allow one tag version to be made and look more original at the same time. If someone could just print on the aluminum foil tape, we'd be set

These stamped foil Emissions decals were exclusively on 3/4 ton and bigger trucks.

And it seems 72 was the first year of them.

Re: Valve Cover Emissions Decal

I stuck an Invader 350 decal on this area. It looked naked without an emissions sticker. I like the look.
