exhaust heater question

my truck has the heater for the intake on the manifold and I want it off. can you just remove it? if so how?

v8, it looks like a piece of thin metal wrapped around the passenger exhaust manifold that has the tube to the intake connected.

Ah! That thing!
They're spot welded on. Grind off the spot welds and it'll fall off. Clean up the manifold with the grinder afterwards.

I removed mine with headers haha.

A ham fisted freind with vise grips makes short work of those lol they are kinda wrapped around so don't be Afraid to get mean
