Lowering Springs are a good option ...... Easy installation and does not cause some of the clearence issues that spindles would and is by far a cheaper option ... would want to consider an adjustable panhard bar depending on how far you lower it. We are a McGaughys dealer and would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have .

I would like to lower it 2" in both front and rear or 4" both front and rear.

Here's a pic of mine when it had 2" and 4" lowering springs in the front/back.

It looks great! Just a 2" in front and 4" in rear!? I guess the weight in front evens it out.

Re: Wanna lower my 71

i wanted to go lower without doing bags because of the cost, so I just went with the ECE 4/6 drop kit plus a 1" lowering block for the rear.

Re: Wanna lower my 71

Nice snug look!! I'm not ready to do the whole c notch thing yet. I'll start off with springs first. I'm thinking a 3/5 drop with springs.

Re: Wanna lower my 71

Springs lower than 2" up front will change the geometry and require RE-alignment and will require shorty shocks...Drop spindles Do Not change steering and suspension geometry and do not require "shorty shocks" unless drop springs are used in conjunction with drop spindles..."Clearance issues" are created either way, with or without depending on the wheels and tires used and how low you choose to go...Going beyond 4" in the rear will almost certainly require "C-Notching" the frame and relocating shock mounts for "shorty shocks" and installing an adjustable panhard bar...Or you can just drive around like many do with the frame bouncing off the rear axle and live in denial...But hey, it looks cool when its parked!...I'd suggest (from experience) 2-1/2" drop spindles up front and 4" drop springs out back...Done! Then go from there... "just sayin"
