Fan Clutch 99 suburban C1500
99 C1500 suburban (Chevy)
When the vehicle is turned off the fan is very stiff and does not move freely. Turning by hand and letting go the fan moves about two blades in rotation and stops. Is this fan supposed to turn freely or be stiff like that? I only ask because the burb seams a little warmer from the AC when sitting still than it does running down the road. Temp always stays the same. Never runs hot. Thanks. |

Along the same lines, fan never shuts off. Comes on when I start the vehicle and never turns off until I kill it. Not sure if this is normal but I'm thinking it is a thermal fan clutch on that year model. Any idea what this could be?

Fan should turn fairly easy...
The fan will always spin just drifferent speeds when engaged
