Front Clip Swap

I have been tossing around the idea of swapping the front of my '86 C-10 (2wd, short bed) with the front of a '73-'80 (probably '77). I have searched but I haven't found any information on the swap. Can anyone shed any light or point me in the right direction?

Re: Front Clip Swap

Just get the front end, radiator, core support, hood
Take everything off your front end,
Put the 73-80 fenders on, then the core support, might have to move the code support forward a inch or back, you will need to take the 81-87 cowl off yours and also get the 73-80 wiper linkage, and swapthem, you might have to cover up your old hood hinge holes, since on the 73-80 front ends the spring and hood hinge is on the fenders, I think that's about it
I might have forgotten something
