Seat Belt problem

I am trying to finish the interior of my 69 c10, the seatbelts that were in it did not function and were really nasty so i took them out. The problem i am having is that i want to keep it original looking and want some original seatbelts for it. I got some out of LMC, but they just dont have the original look to them. Is there a supplier that handles or carries original look and fit seat belts for this year model truck?

Re: Seat Belt problem

You can look for a nice set of used originals on the parts board. If you become a subscribing member you can also post a want to buy ad, and I'll bet someone has what you are looking for.

Just bought some from Truck Shop in Orange CA. Only come in black, but look original.

Re: Seat Belt problem

In the aftermarket I know of two suppliers. Retrobelt USA (from China) and Seatbelt Solutions

Re: Seat Belt problem

They are making the repros in black as mentioned above. I bought mine from Brothers and they are really nice. They also sell the plastic buckle covers too.

Re: Seat Belt problem

I wouldn't rely on used seat belts from 40 year old vehicles. Best thing to do is to rewebb them. A quick search came up with this one. And they have color matching. http://www.seatbeltsolutions.com/id2.html

I'd contact them and see what they say.

Re: Seat Belt problem

Lap belts are pretty much useless whether they are new or 40 years old. If the webbing looks good and you are going for originality I would have no problem using them.
