66 Synergy Green

Hi, I being on this site for a while now, I own a 68 suburban and a 66 chevy truck. I bought the 66 truck about 4 years ago, so it has been a long process to get to this point. I decide the built the truck for my son, to give it to him as a BDay present for his 16th BDay, which is in September. He selected the Synergy green.

When I bought the truck it had the 6 in line, but the truck was in rough shape. I install the front suspension from an 84 truck, the rear is out of a 72 truck, so I have the 5 on 5 all around. I swap the engine for a 5.3 Vortec with the 4L60E tranny. I modify the harness on my own, following the information on LT1swap.com.

I install some seats out of a new Tahoe, they are cloth and kind of a light brown, I want to reupholster them with black vinyl or leather with green stitches.

Here are some of the pics when I first got the truck

Re: 66 Synergy Green

Now I just need to bring it home and start working some more. I still need to install the AC. All the wiring needs to be done, need to relocate the computer inside the cab, built a center console to hide the computer, install a radio system, but is almost done.

Oh, and buy new black wheels

Thanks Alan, actually took me more than a year, the body work and paint alone was 4 months, but they did a good job, now I need to bring it home and continue.

Re: 66 Synergy Green

Here it is with the balck wheels, I had to use 20x8.5 all the way around, I was looking for 20x10 at the rear, but they did not fit. I need to get a better picture.

Here is the engine cover.
