How to fit 19x12s and 18x9.5

Hi guys,
I am gonna be wanting to get different wheels from stock and was lookin at getting a set of 07 Z06 Vette wheel. What would I need to do to get them to fit? Is there a wider rearend that I could bolt in so I would not need to use a big spacer out back? Also what mods to the truck would I need to do to make these sizes fit on my 98 C1500 350 5 Speed Extended cab Short bed? Would I be able to fit the rears without tubbing the truck?
Also probably gonna go with a 2/4 drop on the truck would they still fit?
thanks guys

Re: How to fit 19x12s and 18x9.5

The largest I have ever seen on these trucks, with stock wheel tubs, is a 11" wheel with a 315 tire. This setup did rub on the inside edge, and enough to leave black marks all on the inside. With this in mind, I would say the 12" will not work, without tubbing the truck, etc.

As for the spacers, they will be required both front and rear. I am not aware of a wider rear end that will bolt in or be fabricated in. The trucks are typically on the wider side of vehicles to begin with, so I don't believe you will find a wider rear axle to allow the elimination of a spacer in the rear.

I am sure you can have a custom rear end made that is lengthened, but spacers will be needed still for the front. With all this said, it would be more cost effective and easier to just have custom wheels made to fit the truck. Not 12" wide, but a 10" wide with a wide tire, which would bolt on the truck with the right offset and no spacers needed.

Hope this info helped.

Ok I was just tryin to figure out bout how much could be stuffed in there so I now know a set of 18s I was lookin at should work. Would run a 275-55-18 out back and a shorter but same width or as close as possible to the same width as the rears. Or just run a 245-50-18 up front and 275-55-18 out back as I like the look of slightly more sidewall out back than up front

You are going to need adapters 5x5 to 5x4.75 to run them anyway. IMHO, I would run a 275/315 combo. You might want to call Tobin@ Kore3 for brake options, he might have a system for the front that will switch the front to 5x4.75 bolt pattern instead of 5x5. Good luck, sounds like its going to be a cool truck.
