Swamp cooler on 69-72?? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I can find loads of pictures of window mounted swamp coolers on older trucks, lowriders, vws etc but nothing for 69-72 trucks... Does any one have any pics they can post... I'm thinking they might not match the "squareness" of our trucks (that is a word). But I'm still intrigued to see what they look like.

Not what you're looking for - pictures of our trucks with them. I think that is because they were a band-aid that GM fixed with the AC system they offered from the factory and dealers offered over the counter at their dealerships.

Thanks mrein3 I found that thread also but they're all pre 69 stuff. I'm not actually that bothered about it working either (I live in England,the weathers always sh1tty here). Just liked the look of them.

Most were used on earlier rides before factory A/C.I see a few but seldom on a truck newer than 53 or so.I guess the style just works well with them.They were offered aftermarket but I don't know if they were ever GM licensed.
