Re: Headlights....
Basicly when you turn your headlights on the power goes through all the wiring and headlight switch and back to the headlights. Voltage drops quite a bit through all that which makes the lights dimmer. Adding relays bypasses all that. You draw power right from the relay which is hooked direct to the battery. Makes the lights much brighter

Re: Headlights....
I bought the Hella's from amazon.
HELLA 002395301 Vision Plus 176mm High/Low Beam... Love them. They are a little flatter on the front of the bulb then stock sealers, but they still look fine. The lenses fit perfectly and they will work with stock switch, but as previous posters said I would go with relays. 2 relays cost $5 at any local electronic supplier. Also Amazon can supply them too if you want to bundle the order. Remember to get 2 relays, 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam. 2 reasons for installing relays, 1 better voltage to the lights means a brighter bulb and 2 these bulbs draw more amperage, while they will work just plugging them in, eventually your stock light switch will die. Probably after a couple years. A helpful tip for installing relays. Get the 2 light sockets and wire ( cut as much as you can get) from a wrecked truck. This way you can just use spade connectors from you existing sockets to 'signal the relay' and then use the cut sockets from the wrecker to tap into the relay and plug into your new lights. This way you don't have to cut anything in your existing headlight setup and you can go back to stock in minutes if you want.

Re: Headlights....
The amazon are not sealed beams, They use a 9003 bulb, you can put any style of 9003 in there.
