"Cooking" in the cab

My 82 that I put back together has alot of hot air coming in from around the heater/ac box. After driving for a few miles it starts to get real hot, especially during these 90 degree days. I haven't heard or seen much of the vaccum pods being bad (if that's even what it is). Anyone else ever have to deal with this? Just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone may have an idea of where to start to fix this.

Re: "Cooking" in the cab

Make sure you have the seal on the top of the firewall that mates to the hood otherwise your cabin cold air intake sucks hot air off the engine.
