84 GMC hood latch

This may be a dumb question but how do I get the hood open if the cable is missing from the latch? I bought a complete front clip and the hood was already latched without a release

Pry the hood open on one side, just enough were you can see latch bolts the get your rachet, an extension, swivel, I think 1/2 or 9/16 socket and undo both bolts

you can prolly crawl inside the clip and trip the thing that cable pulls
