Post Cigarette lighter

Maybe some of the suppliers can answer this one. The only thing left to replace inside my cab is the original cigarette lighter. Are there repos made that look like the factory originals? Having a hard time finding one. Have been looking for 3 years in junk yards and no luck there either.

I know LMC has them...decent price. It includes everything from original style lighter to fuse panel plug.
But I'm willing to bet the one of our guys here can beat there price.

Here's GMCPauls kit. $20

I think it is also illuminated, unlike an original.

I have yet to see a lit up one on these, the old Longhorn was pretty original, but none of the others I messed with were.
I was just looking for that on Pauls site...couldn't find it.

sounds like another one of those "rare factory options" to me. Both my 69 and 72 (and 3 previous ) are stock w/o illumination. The assembly manual doesn't show an illuminated either.

BTW anyone lights up in my truck and they're walking!

My low option 70 C-10 has the lighter with the red and green wire Fast was talking about. The green wire is not hooked up so I am not sure what it feeds. I will have to look at it closer. Hmmmm. Agree with you rustfree, the only thing my lighter gets used for is charging the cell phone.

ive only cut up stock unmodified trucks and thats what they always have in them if they ahave a cigar lighter at all, is the lit up ones, green wire has the shielded light on the end and the red wire plugs onto the hot post on back of lighter, i hahve a couple of the harnesses and lighters around here still,. maybe dealer ones are not same as factory ones, just like the cab marker roof lamps ordeal.

Thumbs up

The lighted cigarette lighter was a option, standard were with no light. Since I can get the lighted out for same price as unlighted I opted to carry only the lighted version cause as any of you know once you remove it in the dark its hard to find the hole with out stumbling around a little possibly scratching painted area around face plate for lighter.
