Re: Suspension Body Mount Bushings
I'm not sure what your asking after....cab mounts? - rubber and polyurethane are available.
What are suspension mounts? Do you mean the front and rear control arm bushings, front are all steel on at least the 64 to 66 and rear can be rubber or polyurethane. The rear track arm can be rubber or polyurethane. (On my 64 I used all rubber on the rear control arms and track arm....great ride, no squeeks like with polyurethane but the draw back is having to press the bushings in and out.) Trans mount depends on what trans you are using, manuals may require no mount at all. Can you provide more info, folks should be able to reply then. |

Re: Suspension Body Mount Bushings
I'm looking at replacing all core supports between body and frame and was wondering what other people recommended. Thanks Karl.

Re: Suspension Body Mount Bushings
Gotcha. I've use rubber and poly on suspensions,,,prefer rubber, no noise, no harsh ride.
As for body mounts, rubber was original, I'd prolly use that for a restore on mine. After the harshness and squeeking of the polyurethane suspension on my 62 impala, I'd not want that same mess for my body mounts. |
