Cowl Vent Gasket?

I'm not sure if that's the right term for the gasket as I'm having trouble finding it...but, I need to remove the cowl vent to remove leaves and crap that have built up, and the rubber gasket that appears to keep water from running down into the engine compartment is all dry-rotted. Would like to put a new one in while I have the cowl vent off. Hope this make some some sense...can someone direct me to the part? Or give me the proper name so I can actually find it...thanks.

Re: Cowl Vent Gasket?

That should be listed at the hood-to-cowel seal at all of the common parts dealers - LMC, Brothers, etc. I just replaced mine, and it is the style that stands vertically in an "L" shape. Since installing, the hood does not shut completely. I'm curious to see other responses as I would like to find out where to find one that fold over, or is rounded - helping the hood to shut without sticking up in the back.

It's called the "Hood to cowl weatherstrip". Truck and car shop has them on page 90 of the online catalog.

The one that I got from the truck and car shop last year was rounded over and doesn't stick out of the hood at all.
