Re: got title for truck yesterday from last owner very surprized cool
You are very lucky to get the original title. My suggestion for you is to see if the original owner would file with the state for a lost title, then you can keep the original title as a great show piece. You can then use the replacement title to transfer the truck to you. It is rare to get a chance like this. I wish I had thought of this when my brother bought my Dad's truck from my Mom, which I have now, but would love to have the original title as my dad bought it on my birthday.....

Nice looking truck! Did you ask the owner if he still has the original hubcaps?

Re: got title for truck yesterday from last owner very surprized cool
That is a reprint of the original title. The original would of been yellow in Tennessee for 1968. Probably what happen he lost it and had this one reprinted in the early 80's Still a very cool find.

Re: got title for truck yesterday from last owner very surprized cool
Looking at it closer look like it says Previous state MS. So he probably bought it new in Missouri and got the Tennessee title when he moved to Tennessee All original Tennessee titles in 1968 were yellow/gold color. Like to see more pictures of the truck if possible.

An excellent example! The hang-on A/C unit is cool, no pun intended. If you want to short-bed it, I want first refusal on the one you've got there!

Very nice. Ditch that camper shell, get some correct hubcaps, and then use a good cleaner wax on the paint, and you're in business
