Wheel questions?

noobie, here I found some rims 5 on 5 pattern off of a 1993 gmc silvarado. im wondering if they will fit. the info I have atm is.

variance alloys 22 in rims with 265 35 22 tires. My Trucks is a 1973 2 wheel drive blazer lowered some in front and a touch in the rear.... so please input if you might have some insights. thanks

Re: Wheel questions?

Bolt pattern is yes they fit. Some wheels may have an issue that the center hole is not big enough for the older style trucks. it Just varies from wheel to wheel. 22s on a lower blazer, you might have some clearance issues. Depends on how wide the wheels are and the back spacing.

Re: Wheel questions?

its lowered around 3 inches in front, the tires height as I see it will be around 1.5 inches taller in front. which should clear for turning...( I think..) the rears on it atm are actually around an inch taller so the back shouldn't be an issue height wise. but width could be an issue as the offset is unknown. what offset should 22 inch rim have to work on a mildly lowered blazer and clear for turns bumps etc? the center hole.. hum idk looks like research time for me.
thanks

Re: Wheel questions?

in looking at tire rack... 22 rims for a 1993 gmc and a 1973 truck ( no blazer listings..:/)
for 22 inch rims are offsets of 12 to 20mm and back spacing runs 5.47 to 5.79 inches... input?

Re: Wheel questions?

Hopefully some others will chime in, but I am thinking with 5 1/5 to 5 3/4 backspacing might be too deep and may cause rubbing issues on the inside, especially up front. Most folk I know with our years don't go much past 5" backspacing.

But I am definitely not an expert on the big wheels. I still have my itty-bitty 15s.

Re: Wheel questions?

So today out in the garage, I did some exploration... the current front tires 235/75/15 clears my inner fender by say 1.5 inches...( not under compression)... at ride height ( without my big ass in the truck... 300lbs.) so 22's will NOT work on my rig. just sharing. thanks all for your input n help. Have a nice day.

Re: Wheel questions?

they are only half an inch taller than your 235/75/15's. thats 1/4" less clearance. with that tire size, im guessing the wheel is around 9 so 4-5" back space would work
