DJM 5/5 drop?
Anyone have any experience with DJM or their 5/5 drop kit? I looked at getting the full kit with UCA and LCA replacements...
Link: http://djmsuspension.com/products/djm2356-55plus/ Actually, I bought this kit and the suggested drop shocks. However, three weeks later, they are having trouble locating/sending my rear springs. The UCAs/LCAs/front springs all shipped. As such, I figured I'd ask if anyone has any experience with them? I had an excellent phone conversation with them when I called about my order, with a real person even. However, I forgot to ask the forum! Also, anyone who has run this setup (or similar) have any idea what tires I should be running? Should I look for close to 28" tire? I will be staying with the 15s on my truck currently unless a better option presents itself. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
Get as tall of a tire as you can.
Those lower control arms are a "drop pocket" design. To me this is OLD technology. (my opinion) That a-arm pocket will be extremely close to the ground and may casue scrubline issues in the event of a flat front tire with 15" wheels.

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
I don't know if they redesigned them but the old DJM upper control arms have cracked around the ball joint in the past.

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
I didn't realize that drop pockets weren't what everyone was trying to use until I got on the ECE website. No idea why it took me so long to look them up. Much better prices and parts included. With that now known, and the fact I already kinda shot myself in the foot, how tall of a tire should I try and run? Should I be looking at increasing wheel size as well? I've got a few weeks in Afghanistan so I'm hoping to get the last few parts ordered ordered before I go.
Thanks for the preliminary info. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
I run DJM lower control arms and I run a 15" rim with 235/75/15's. I think it's close to a 29" wheel.

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
Djm is great at mass producing floppy junk that's put together horribly. Springs and spindles are the way to go. Tube arms and factory arms are the same minus weight and much less ground clearance.

Maybe you have an old set, could you post of pic so I could compare them to mine? I've had mine for two years and have had zero issues with clearance. They've never bottomed out and I hit railroad tracks, bumps, and dips without slowing down. Thanx Dano

Meanwhile, I havent recieved my rear springs yet. The shop called to talk with some one, got a five word response and a promise they would be shipped. However, as of yet, no rear springs. My once glowing review of this company is taking a downturn. These parts BETTER be easy enough to put in and a good value... Still not sure I'd deal with them again!

Re: DJM 5/5 drop?
I just have the 3" LCA drop, 2 more inches and I think there is scrub-line issues. Don't know for sure, sorry I can't be of more help.
Sorry to hear about the bad service. They are local to me, so if you want me to take a ride over there, I can. Dano

American Made In SoCal.
Using local sources for their steel like everyone else. I've been to the shop to buy their stuff and seen it for myself. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ChKkvSa7bOY?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://djmsuspension.com http://www.calmaxsuspension.com

Thats the newer body style. Do you think that would make a difference?

So yes I know all about the "quality" they talk about. So far their spindles are the only decent thing they make and even those had to be pressure washed with solvent and hot tanked to get the grime and spatter everywhere on them. Djm blows plain and simple

Well done brother. Lowered, Cragar S/S and BF Goodrich with the letters out. You have exceptional taste in my opinion.
