Brake hose length for drum to disk

Hey, New here but a big fan, been working on my 69 c20 and got almost done with a disk brake conversion using 82 c30 spindle set up... but stuck on the brake lines, ive read read and read and cant find very much info on the rubber brake line hose length and set up....

Im thinking of making them my self but depending on how much $$ or i might just have someone in town make them but need info to tell him.

Anything would help! thank!

steel lines or rubber brake hoses or both?
Rubber hoses need to be purchsed with the ends on them.
I don't think they can be made to length.

You might try a brake hose from a 71-72 C20 truck, since they came with disc brakes.
Or check with www.earlyclassic.com.
They sell conversion hoses.

Re: Brake hose length for drum to disk

brake hoses have banjo fittings on one end and inverted flare of the other
\
i'd go to napa ant ask for a 82 c30 brake hose mount it to the caliper and hold the other end in place to see everything clears then weld a mounting tab on the crossmemberto mount the hose

Re: Brake hose length for drum to disk

Okay, ive done a little bit of research on the 71-72 69 and 82 brake hoses. I figure id share becuase i couldnt find it my self without searching for house...

Correct me if im wrong.

69 c20 (feels lit it would be ling enough with a banjo end)
End 1 Attachment Type: Female - Brass
End 1 Size: 3/8-24 UNF-2B
End 2 Attachment Type: Male - Brass
End 2 Size: 7/16-20 UNF-2A
Gaskets Included: No
Hose Color: Black
Hose Length: 13.781 in
Outer Material: EPDM Rubber

71-72 hoses
Brake Hose Assembly Length (In): 12.25
Brake Hose Assembly Use Location: Driver Front
Brake Line/Assembly Bracket Material: No Bracket Required
End 1 Fitting Material: Treated Steel
End 1 Type/Size of Fitting: Banjo - 0.44
End 2 Fitting Material: Treated Steel
End 2 Type/Size of Fitting: Female - 3/8-24

82 (way to long) tryed already with yard hoses
End 1 Attachment Type: Banjo - Steel
End 2 Attachment Type: Both Male, Female-Steel
End 2 Size: 5/8-18 & 3/8-24
Gaskets Included: No
Hose Color: Black
Hose Length: 21.94 in
Outer Material: EPDM Rubber

Thus in Theory, a 71-72 brake hose would fit my conversion?

Oh and here this guys says the C10 72 is 13.5, could be counting the fittings.

I got them at napa and they were 18$ for the pair with the 10% off thing. PART NUMBER ABOVE. Much cheaper than 50$ and readily available!

The diffrence between these and the actual 72 chevy pickup is these are almost a quarter of an inch smaller and fit perfect. The picture of the hose is on the drivers side.
