87 K-10 swb BARN BUILD! corners and rockers

ok guys this will be the first build I will be posting online so please bare with me as I learn to use this website. ok what I have here is a short bed 4x4 that my wife got for her new ride.the truck all around is right solid for this area giving the age of the truck.the pics will explain what we have to work with.in this build we will be doing basic cab corners rockers and very minor work on the bed.we are blazer people we have 5 k5s here but she has always wanted a short bed so we will be switching hers out in with this.any output or idea would be great

I uploaded all mine to photobucket and then click on the insert image icon in the menu of the reply box and paste the image link text from photobucket. works great!

ok so did some cutting and some cleaning today and snaped a couple of pics. I still have some cleaning left but these pics can give a basic idea of what we have to work with.also took a pic of the inside of the old rocker as wasn't to bad but glad we decided to replace it before paint because it wouldn't have been long

fitting trimming/

undercoat

I drilled large holes on the top and bottom of the rocker to spot to the inner rocker "only did as many as I felt needed"

for the cab corners I had put the new one in right in the middle of the chrome trim stripe not that it should matter but I feel it makes for a better turn out

just got over a cold ready to get back at it

Looking good! I know what you mean about body work. I did both my cab corners and it took more than 10 hours just to get them roughed in.

another question.anybody know where the best place is to buy Silverado 10 emblems?? lmc wants 100$ !! seems kind of high to me for a plastic emblem? we will be putting new carpet new seat and billet grill with chrome out rings on this truck.also a rough country 6in suspension lift with curved springs in the back with 35 at tires

The paint looks good!

I bit the bullet and bought the LMC emblems for mine. That sure is an expensive piece of plastic!

Re: 87 K-10 swb BARN BUILD! corners and rockers

Is there room behind the drivers rear wheel well to cut out the fuel door from the front and weld it in the rear side? That is what I have been thinking about but haven't looked to see if there would be room.
