Help me pick the right tires
Hi everyone. I need help picking tires for my truck. It's a 3/4 ton 71 c10. The guy at goodyear told me I need a lt series tire. I wont be towing anything and its not really being used as a work truck. So is the lt series necessary or would I be okay with a p series ? Also, what tires are you guys running ?

Re: Help me pick the right tires
If youre not using it as a truck, a P series is fine. But, in the off chance I might use it as a truck, the LTs would be nice to have.

I just talked to another tire shop. The guy told me I would definitely need an lt series. I really just want to as sure as possible before I decide. The lt's are around $900 a set. Only wanna get them if itsreally neccessary

Re: Help me pick the right tires
Have you compared the cost of the LT tires to P tires? I wouldnt think there would be much difference in price. I would suggest going with the LT tires on the off chance you have to haul a load, but not heavy tires like load range e tires. I would think that d or even cload range were reasonably inexpensive.

Re: Help me pick the right tires
I run P on my truck and it gets used. I don't tow anything but I haul a fuel tank and assorted other stuff around. There is a difference in price although right now I can't remember what it was.
